The first Blog

My name is Rob Dikken and I have a dream:

Bringing scale TT back to the US where it was invented and where it all started.

In 2013 a Czech company, called MTB, asked if I would be interested in selling a US model in scale TT (1:120), the SW1200, in Europe. Somebody else was doing this in the US. I said yes and I was astonished to learn that there were no US prototype freight cars, no track and no scenery or structures to be found or if there were, only produced in small series for high prices. The exception were  the 40 foot boxcars from Gold Coast, an American company, but unfortunately not active anymore.

So I thought, we need more professionally produced US freight cars and other stuff at normal prices to make American train models in gauge TT more attractive for users. The models has to be ready-to-run and not some self-assembled and un-painted resin kit.

In this blog I will tell you how I am slowly trying to achieve better availability of these models. Next time something more about the Gold Coast boxcars.
